Why Computer Science Is Not Such A Bad Choice

Do you have no intentions of following in the footsteps of your parents by studying to become a doctor or perhaps an engineer? Instead, are you rather interested in exploring your problem solving skills and contribute your findings to making the world a better place?

Do you want to make a name all on your own and not be dependent on anyone? The clichéd jobs are not your thing? Well, allow us to give you an insight into what it’d be like if you want to opt for computer science as your major.

Learning opportunity at every corner

Computer Science is a vast field where everywhere you turn; there’s a learning opportunity for you. For example, if you’re a person who’s obsessed with organizing things and minimal coding, perhaps, you’d like to try your hand at being a database manager. On the other hand, if you have a creative mind along with artistic skills, perhaps you’d make a great graphic designer.

Are you interested in problem solving and use programming to get done with even the most mundane pieces of work? Maybe, you might excel at being a developer. Are you fascinated by how graphics are put together to create exciting and entertaining games? Maybe you’d like to develop your own games.

In short, there several opportunities for you but only if you’re interested.

Make the world a better place

Today, technological advancements are taking place at a rapid rate to the point that robotic arms are replacing human beings. Wouldn’t you rather pick up a job that won’t make you jobless in the near future? From hospitals to office jobs to laboratories, every profession relies on machines to provide us assistance.

Every other day, you come across an invention that’s mind-blowing. Long gone are the days when Van Gogh’s painting was impossible to be replicated. Nowadays, you can replicate it by giving it a twist of your own. Those days are ancient when people used to die because there was no cure for Polio. Now there are polio vaccines that are administrated to prevent such a disease from occurring.

Wouldn’t you like to do to invent something like that? Management systems are making office lives more disciplined. For example, we’ve evolved from having your attendance noted on paper to biometric attendance systems and eventually started using facial recognition software to register attendances in the most efficient manner.

It can be big money

Doesn’t everyone dream of being rich once in a while? Well, at least, we can’t speak for you, but most of us do. Mark Zuckerberg is a college dropout, yet after the invention of Facebook, a social media networking website, he has become a billionaire.

Zuckerberg is not the only one. Most of the multimillionaires in the world are associated with the IT industry one way or another. Either they’ve used it to kick start their own business, or they’ve made a name for themselves by inventing something revolutionary that has changed the course of hundreds and thousands of lives.

If you think you’ve got an idea, perhaps you’d like to invest, and what do you know maybe you will be the owner of a huge venture one day. But of course, before all that, you need to put in quite a lot of time and effort on the line in order to make big bucks one day.

Migration to the digital era

With the COVID-19 going rampant, the situation has changed quite drastically. People were forced to stay indoors, many were laid off, and the migration from physical to virtual studying took place. Now, on the one hand, it was an entirely new experience for an adult to a kindergartener. But, on the other hand, it definitely took a toll on a number of businesses.

But there were also some important lessons we learnt. Such as how connected we still were through a number of mediums whilst being cooped up inside our houses. The businesses that learnt quickly how to get the hang of things thrived. The ones that didn’t sadly close down. Thus, the lesson is that one must get a transferable skill and be adaptable to any situation.

Wrapping Up

Nowadays, following the social distancing, businesses, as well as universities, have switched to online mode. As a result, we can conduct our meetings, attend classes and still carry on with our lives. Is that not remarkable?

All in all, it is entirely up to you what you want to study. Make sure you don’t end up hating your job or much less become a corporate slave. Pick up law studies if you’re such a rule abider. Get law assignment help from a law assignment writing service. Just at the end of the day, pursue what you like so as to not have any regrets later on in life.
